I bought a dog bed recently from chewy (one of many purchases I've made) and it turned out to be too small, so I tried to return it in order to get a bigger one. Instead of having me return a brand new unused dog bed, which would have been extremely easy, they refunded my money and told me to donate the bed. As a dog parent and animal lover, THIS IS AMAZING. Maybe other people won't think that's a big deal but shelters need all the help they can get. This says a lot about them as a company.
Don't trust their ad says you get a $100.00 and you need to pay fir $65.00 it's a bait. You still paying the full amount after you check out. Customer service is not professional at all when I called them to confirm their ad, they canceled a gift card I sent, it's so embarrassing! I had to re purchased a new one then they need to verify the hell out of it, I ended up send the gift late. Terrible experience!

They denied a first time buyer a promotion claiming the promotion had been used on another order but yet they have never purchased from this company their whole life so now my self and 11 cat rescues will no longer buy from here hope they enjoy that loss for discriminating against new customers and lying just so they don't have to give th the discount they advertise

Until July, we were completely satisfied with Chewy. Food showed up for our dog 4-5 days ahead of when we would run out. Last month, we were down to one meal. This month, food did not arrive. We called and were told there was an issue and the food wouldn't arrive until September 5th. We are out of the dog's food and must search for something suitable that won't upset his stomach unnecessarily. We will be credited for this month's order, at least. But, in my mind, an "issue" ought to be communicated with customers ahead of time so they can be prepared for this "issue." Supply chain excuses aside, there is no excuse for poor customer communication.

You must have a backup plan for food for your pet. Chewy is not as reliable as we believed it to be.

My 100lb English Labrador requires Benadryl which is an over the counter drug. I sent them a prescription for 50mg/500 count back in February of last year. I received it, used it and went to order more. They refused to fill the order without a prescription. When I asked why since it is OTC, I was informed that they require dosage even though the prior prescription had dosage on it. My vet, although not happy, complied. Chewy accepted the prescription but cancelled my order for 500. Apparently, I can only order 12.
Just got off phone with customer service (LOL) who sent my dog's meds to wrong address. Then they asked me to drive to wrong address to get it. When I said no I wouldn't they gave me the runaround and blamed me for the error. Funny thing is, this was one part of a multi-med order. The other meds arrived on time at the correct address. Hmmm... how could that happen if I put in wrong address? Chewy has been permanently deleted from my vendor list.

I would not suggest Chewy pharmacy if your pet is sick. Prior my order I called and I was told it will take 2~3days after the vet confirmation, its been a week and the order is not even in transit. I wasted my time calling them numerous times and everyone said different thing. The supervisor promised overnight delivery, and its been already over 2 days and it is still not even in transit. My pet has been out of med and all because I thought Chewy pharmacy was reliable. I will never ever shop here. Extremely low quality service.

We were on automatic dog food delivery from Chewy. We had just received a two case delivery of prescription dog food when our 14+ year old Shellie had to be put down (she showed us it was time). I called Chewy to cancel our automatic food delivery and was asked if we had any left to which I replied two cases. After being very nice the woman on the phone said she would credit our account ($125) and for me to donate the food. Our Humane Society was very appreciative. Very classy organization.

We had a very hard time getting them and our vet to communicate, finally we did, so the next time we ordered the med did nit come no message from chew, so we called, they said we can't send until we get a prescription, we were not notified been 10 days, almost out of med, already paid 210 for the med, chewy has bad communication, won't except a faxed rx either, so we will be out of med,
Unfortunately the 1-3 day shipping promise has become a joke, and the prices have risen higher than Amazon. Worse, I was not informed of the doubling of time for delivery until two days later. For some reason they are shipping now through Texas, the other side of the country, and everything gets F**ked up in Texas so I have unfortunately had to cancel my autoships and will be ordering elsewhere until they can get back to being professional.
Not only does their easy auto ship option with simple adjustments make it so easy to keep up with prescriptions and food, this company goes above and beyond. They sent birthday cards to your pet and a Christmas card every year. I also randomly got sent a personalized hand drawn portrait of my pet for national dog month—it literally made me cry. I will forever be a Chewy customer!

My experience has been very positive. Chewy usually has good, sometimes great deals with free shipping for orders over 49.00. I have read the other reviews complaining about slow shipping. My experience has been to the contrary. My experience has been that they have the fastest shipping I have ever seen. I have ordered many times from Chewy and shipping has been consistently very fast. I have also found customer service to be very good. NOTE prices can vary when you auto ship. In other words if you order an item on sale and you choose auto ship, the item may not be on sale the next time it ships. I just stock up when the item is on sale. NOTE if you do choose auto ship you can modify the timing at any time so if supplies are running low or lasting longer than anticipated you can get the shipment moved up or delayed. NOTE some deals can be used only once so make sure the discount etc. is reflected in your actual order even though it still appears in the item listing.

I don't have an issue with that if I could ask out of it and continue to the site place my order. But it will not allow me to do so so you have 100% lost all my business now this is absolutely ridiculous that I cannot order product simply because I do not want you to track my activities online.!
I encourage all people to check their phone tracking turn it off and not allow websites to simply truck you because they want to! Disappointed beyond!

It's been Sitting 80 miles away in a fed ex location for goin on day 3 I called at 7 this morning they gave me a few options I appreciate that that good customer service hopefully this shipment fed ex will take care of business. In theory, Chewy is a great site. It has a lot of pet products that aren't in stores lately due to supply problems. But it's a mirage. I have been using autoship foolishly for a year now to save money and get all my cats' food before they run out, but Chewy doesn't notify me until two days AFTER the shipment was supposed to arrive that I'm NOT getting all of the items in my order. That leaves me negative two days to go to the store and try to find something for my cats to eat. My girl cat is disgusted with me and most likely assumes I am a terrible hunter. I've been rationing their wet food because they're running out and Chewy keeps promising a whole box of food will be on my doorstep in the afternoon, so I put off going to the store. I understand that sometimes items are out of stock, but two days after they're promised to arrive is NOT the time to tell me about it unless they want to come over and deal with my cat meowing all night that her treats are not here!

After many years of great service from Chewy, they were sold and decided to change shipping methods. FedEx has destroyed this once great company. After years of pleading, contacting Fed Ex and Chewy via phone and emails, signing onto Fed Ex account, speaking to FedEx driver, we are no longer physically able to retrieve our packages from wherever FedEx chooses to leave them. We have contacted Chewy several times about this issue and they no longer seem to care about their customers, simply stating, "they are sorry..."

We had an amazing surprise from Chewy when we found a package in our mailbox upon returning from our travels yesterday. A few weeks ago we shared with them some happy pics of our puppy, dashing through lake shore so excited and happy with his new toy and life vest we got from Chewy.
Unexpectedly, the Chewy team painted a portrait of our pup with his favorite toy and life vest on him! It came with a beautiful card with such personal touch.
At first having found a package from Chewy, I checked the app to see if perhaps we had ordered something from Chewy and forgot it was coming but, upon opening the package, we realized it was this beautiful surprise gift!

Chewy used to be a good place to order pet food and supplies from. However, within the past year or so, it has gone downhill drastically! Items are always out of stock, they send expired and spoiled food, the coupons advertised never work, false claims, etc. Plus shipping takes a week now and no longer the 2-3 days as they say. Be advised to stay away from this company!
Been a customer for years. Placed online order, after 4 days, instead of shipping it, they just cancelled it with no reason. After calling in, customer service said it was routine. Instead of clearing it up and sending the order, they kept asking me stupid questions about my pet. Will never order again. Buy from AMAZON! Better prices, customer service and faster shipping!
Chewy will not refund a subscription that may have been forgotten. They do not give you a reminder so you can cancel an old order you may have placed. Horrible customer service and rude at the same time. Order was sent to an incorrect address and no longer able to retrieve it. Amazon is the only place to order from. Never again Chewy! You lost my business and everyone else I know.
