I've shopped Cotton On for about a decade on two continents, both online & in a shop. The clothes are are well made and retain their shape even after dozens upon dozens of washes. When shopping online, they include a return postage label for stress-free products returns. Having worked retail in my younger years, I can mention to the disgruntled reviewers that most places don't accept returns if the tags are removed. That's pretty much standard. I appreciate the quality materials and modern fit for Cotton On products. Also, I've never had an issue with shipping. I don't usually write reviews but I don't understand the hate for this brand. ¯\_ (ツ)_/¯

Tried to return items that didnt fit. After a month they sent them back to me. No explanation. I tried to get help on the app Not helpful at all. Ridiculous explanation telling me I should go into a store and try something on before I order it online and the sizing can vary. I asked fir a store credit then instead of a refund. Nothing they could do. What's the point of doing online shopping if I can't return items they don't fit?

We never received what we ordered. They told me to take it up with UPS since UPS said they delivered it. UPS was contracted by Cotton On to deliver, I was not part of that transaction, but they refused to contact there delivery service to remedy the situation. I asked to speak to a supervisor, but one was never made available. They have zero concern for their customers, they get their money and they are done with you.
I purchased two pairs of jeans from here online. One pair didn't look how they did online, the bottoms were all cut up and fringy. The other pair ripped the first time I wore them. One legs ripped all down the seam, just from crossing my leg. I'm currently waiting on a refund, but beware customer service is horrible and I'm not optimistic I will receive it.
I purchased a supposed rug from this website and when it came in, it was in no way a rug. When I tried to return it, they ignored my emails for 2 weeks. They finally sent me one asking for a picture of the item i purchased. I sent the picture and I haven't heard back from them. Also, when I initially purchased the item, the confirmation email was not in the company's name, but in the name of an individual. Poor poor quality and service. Definitely a scam!
I was given clothing for Christmas as a gift that didn't fit me. Went into the Physical Ballito store and they refused to give a refund or even a voucher that can be used at a later date without the purchase receipt, even though the Cotton On tag was still on the item and their computer system recognizes the item and price (they had nothing else that I liked in my size - at the time).
Returned an item at another clothing store brand without any issues whatsoever.

No way are you allowed to speak to a human over the phone. I've had issues with my orders and I was able to chat with someone but, it was like 5 minutes between responses.
I would not recommend using this company as its based in Australia.

Purchased T-shirt at Byron Bay. The fabric has a fault right in the front which was not obvious until it was put on. I went to the store to get an exchange and they would not exchange unless I had receipt or tag. The girl serving me remembered selling it to me and I am on their system so when I make a purchase my purchase history comes up. I was given the customer service number to ring and when I phoned they could not do anything they only service online customers. Will certainly not be purchasing from them again. Very poor service.

Ordered product, and understandably charged. I was sent an email to track the delivery status which hasn't updated in a week. Attempts to get an update are automated messages which offer no details. Should have done a deeper dive on the company reviews which are riddled with the same issues
I order a baja hoodie xxl and paid 2 day shipping, finally after 4 days the wrong item comes in a cheap looking button up shirt, so i send a email and was told the correct item would be sent, low and behold another wrong item comes in today, i have never experienced anything like this before, total unprofessional

All critical reviews sounded just like when I've ordered clothes from China. I have a 3x gauze shirt I can't return. I'm a 1x but I knew the size would be wrong so I order up. It didn't help.
The return process from US was relatively simple and they provided return label for no cost. They however processed a refund that was less than the cost of goods returned, also not inclusive of taxes paid on the goods. I emailed them asking for a breakdown of what items I sent back and what they gave me for each item, as many other companies do automatically. They refused to do this and their only response was to refund me a random $1.89 as if to say f you. I've spent a lot of money w this company and love their children's clothing line for my girls so it is a real shame that they are so purposely deceptive with returns.
Purchased earrings for my niece for Christmas but were not delivered. Just today they were returned to me anomalously. In the meantime I had called and they refunded me as they couldn't promise that I would get them on time so I purchased a gift card to give to her just a few hours ago and still haven't gotten the printable card but the Money is out of my account.So I called and told customer service was returned the earrings and wanted to use the gift card as I was being an honest person, I was told no, may I remind that I still don't have the gift card but I have the Id number for the purchase. I was just trying to be honest and I don"t shop here it is not a store that I use. They just HUNG UP ON me! Terrible SERVICE!
Their pants from size smalls to xtra larger have an inseam of "79". I asked thru chat 79 what? I have never had a more rediculous customer service experience. Claimed he is deaf so Michael doesn't understand me. Never got my answer. Scam site!
I ordered something online, and cancelled order due to delivery day taking too long, then you wait days for a refund, and no one is helpful on the chat site, everyday is just another 1 to 5 days, they dont state working days... just 1 to 5 days, and then you wait till they decide your refund can get attention now. They dont wait 1 to 5 days for your payment, but you must wait 1 to 500 days for help
The absolute worst online ordering and the I wanted to return 2 shirts to the store and they refused because it wa purchased on after pay even though it was entirely paid do not shop there!
The WORST employees at the Meridian, ID store. They gossip about customers and make HORRIBLE comments.
Cotton-On claims that you will get a discount of 20% on your first online order.
This is NOT correct. The discount only applies to items which are not already discounted. For me, it reduced my purchase from $350 to $320 (it should have been $280).
I would encourage cotton-on NOT to mislead customers.

In Danbury Ct, I purchased $65 cargo pants. I got an xs and they did not fit me correctly. When trying them on I could not clearly see if the pants fit with the folded over tag the cargo pants had. I went to return or exchange or get store credit or anything. I was denied. I had the receipt, same form of payment and tags when I brought it to the Danbury fair mall cotton on store. When I purchased the pants nobody told me tags have to be attached in order to return. I am SO upset and will never shop there again. The women that took "care" of me did not explain nothing to me just "that's our only return policy" in a very rude tone. I asked if there was anything I could do she rudely just said no and sent me out the store. I'm very upset because I never worn the pants and I purchased less than 3 days ago as of march 25th and today is march 27th. I've always like cotton on but maybe it I have to stick with garage to return without issues. Also, I've worked retail and stores are provided with the tools to attach tags back and reprint them. It made zero sense to me. The tag was located in front of the pants and I couldn't tell if they fit or not so I took one tag off. This is RIDICULOUS.
My 12 yr old daughter was bought a Cotton On voucher for Christmas, but unfortunately the sales assistant stuffed up didn't activate the card.

She told me to remind him to send me a url link about my product tomorrow. So we have to spend money on the product, call them and waste our time just to know if my product is arriving to me, because my previous product has been LOST!
I had made an online purchase and after purchasing I realize I selected the wrong size for the shoes, order was just in "Progess" and I reached out to customer service ASAP regarding this matter and asked if they could just change the sizing for me. He/she said they cannot amend the order and I would have to cancel my whole order and repurchase everything again and if that was the case a few items in my bag are sold out and it's not guaranteed I would get the same items (never heard this in my life!) now, I'm just waiting for my child's shoes to arrive just so I can send them back for a refund. This is upsetting for sure!
