I ordered pizzas for my building staff. An hour post eta, i called the pizza shop. Shop said that the order was ready and had been sitting there for an hour. No Grubhub. I called Grubhub. The person said she would look into it and get back to me. Ten minutes later Grubhub cancelled the order. Called the pizza place told them what happened. Still wanted pizzas. They said they would make fresh ones. Called Uber Eats had pizzas in 30 minutes. Shame on GrubHub. Yah Uber Eats.

Two screwed up orders in 24 hours. Wasn't really their fault but they wanted me to pay delivery fee, tip and additional charges to get my missing sandwich delivered. Didn't every get food the second order. After 90 minutes of waiting, the order was cancelled, but they didn't even give us a full refund! I still end up paying them $5? For nothing?!? Don't care how many promo codes they offer me. I'm done with them.
Worst service in the world, I will never use it again/ Ordered a meal, was told after my card was charged that they couldn't deliver. Received promo code, ordered a second meal and had to pay $8.50 extra - that meal couldn't be delivered. Spoke to management, was told that I could receive a second promo code, but it will be an additional cost for delivery and taxes. Which means after spending on 3 delivery charges, I still won't get my food. Also, the manager hung up in my face; my kids never receive food that I paid for x 2. Grubhub is pure unprofessional and disgusting, even when they don't fulfill their responsibility after taking your money, they still try to charge you. I am just getting started.
Too many times food takes a tour of the county as grubhub allows driver to have several orders to deliver. Nothing like fish that was cooked an hour ago. Not first time. The biggest complaint i have is that there is no obvious way to communicate with grubhub. They push communications to just driver, and reviews to just restaurant. Convenient. We get deliveries probably 4 to 5 times per week but have moved mostly to doordash now. I kept grubhub for one restaurant that deliveries VERY TIMELY. The fault here is grubhub.

Grubhub drivers are the WORST consistently of all the delivery services. It is very rare that they follow my contact rules. I simply want them to knock on my door so I know my food has arrived, and maybe 1 out of 10 deliveries am I notified. Additionally I've watched several drivers drive around in circles or get lost bringing my food. If you don't know how to follow a GPS find another job! I'm done ordering through Grubhub.
Dreadful. Don't usually write reviews because I'm becoming who I hate but I ordered food which is now over an hour late and the restaurant has closed. I can't even complain to the website or ask for a refund because technically my order is on the way still apparently. What I hate most is that I ordered food again from this piece of trash excuse for a service. Let's see if either arrive. If anyone who owns this trash is bored and somehow reading this can you please sort it. Used to like it :(
Delivery drivers are constantly dropping off orders to the wrong apartment. I even have it set that they're suppose to knock on my door and physically hand me the order. I've finally got fed up with the incompetence so canceled my membership and will be switching to DoorDash. Grubhub, there's a reason you're losing customers and it's due to your drivers.
Limited delivery times. Restaurants pop up that will accept your order but they are either closed or in another state. No guidelines at customer service, sometimes you have to argue for a refund, and other times they will refund with an additional credit, all for the same reason. Drivers don't read English many times and do not leave food in the correct place. I have a year of free Grubhub+ but I still pay for Uber One.
GrubHub consistently has deals of "free delivery" or get X off a delivery. However, they don't actually follow through. You input the code they email you, and they say you cannot redeem it. Or, their site will say "free delivery with an X purchase." When you read the find print, there are not restrictions. But, wen you go to check out, they are charging you for delivery and a service fee. So an order originally costing $12-$15, now costs $30! Not worth it.
I ordered food for my husband who was on a job. We tracked and waited about an hour then my husband called almost 2 hours later. I thought he was going to say how much he enjoyed the food. Instead he told me he is still waiting. I checked the tracking and they said "delivered". I contacted them and they had no idea where the food was even though the tracking said delivered. My money was refunded but my husband was still hungry. Not cool. I gave a 2 star just based on the quick response in the chat.
Ordered our food to be delivered while out of town at a conference. Order kept getting pushed back. Over an hour. Called the restaurant and said order had been ready for over 20 minutes but no one had picked up. It's a Tuesday night! They said should be delivered in 30 minutes. That means food would have been sitting for an hour! Grub hub cancelled the order per my request and only offered a $5 off coupon to be used within 30 minutes. I told them I don't live in an area that has grubhub. Was told that's all they could offer. Horrible!

6 times tonight my delivery was " rescheduled" to a later delivery time. Driver won't answer texts or calls. Customer service is absolutely useless stating they won't help until the delivery hasn't shown up...which will NEVER happen when they keep changing the times. Finally just cancel the damn order and now they say 5 days to refund the 80 dollars that they charged in just minutes. Worst service EVER!
I used Grubhub, consistently, for some months. In a nutshell, the orders were always late and, usually, I had to end up reheating food once delivered.
Problem: Drivers pick-up too many orders and results in constant delays. I've, actually, ordered food that was 1 to 2 miles from my residence. Then, watched - via the location app - see the driver go to 1 or 2 other, wait for minutes for another order. Finally, rather than deliver my order, as my place is closer, they go another 4 to 5 miles away to deliver that order, then drive all the way back to my place. Again, the order late and food near cold.
Needless to say - I've deleted my subscription and will not be using this company ever.
The only positive aspect of the company is it, really, has a very good customer service.
I placed an order at 8:12 this morning for 12:30 delivery for my wife who comes home to eat everyday and just got a text saying that it will be late with the estimated delivery time being 12:56 to 1:06. She gets a half hour lunch and I thought a nice hot lunch she didn't have to rush to prepare would be a nice surprise. Even with the order confirmed at 10:02 am, they still can't deliver food on time with a 2.5 hour window. Now she'll be making a sandwich again, and I wasted $22 with tip. I'll never use GrubHub again.

On March 5th I ordered from a local pizza restaurant. The order was very late. I texted the driver he said he was waiting for t u e order at the restaurant. Up shot was he delivered the same order twice! We contacted Grubhub and they said because we received 2 orders we had to pay for 2 orders. We argued that we did not order.the exact same thing twice. Eventually they gave us grubhub coupons which does not put money back in my account. I feel cheated and will think long and hard before using them again.
Food was delivered to wrong address, I called the restaurant they barely spoke English, they refused to do a corrective action, they refuse to remove trash and would not take care of a bad customer experience.! Whether it was through GrubHub or not they should feel responsible for the fact that they prepared the food! Now I have trash in the hall that is rotting and attracting bugs I refuse to pay for somebody else's trash! Who pays $37 for a kid's meal to start with!

So I've ordered today would have been my 4th time. Was so pleased with the service the first 3 times I signed up for the $10 monthly. After the service received today account DELETED and I'll go back to my DoorDash or UberEats. They are unprofessional and rude customer service representatives. The first one I spoke to booted me out my account. Lol... Yes I'm not expecting this company to be around much longer. The second representative hung up when i was asking a question. These people are Sad.
My first experience and the worst nightmare! I placed an order from KFC. Try to cancel it when I saw the expensive price of the delivery service. They didn't cancel it and sent it. The driver was disrespectful leaving the order(food) on the entrance of the door. She didn't even knock the door. I knew about the delivery because of a message and was surprised to open the door and found it on the floor. I won't recommend anybody to use the services of this company. I rate them with 0 or F. Beware of this kind of services.
Had a horrible driver. Real smart $#*!! Hour and 1/2 late. Left the food outside our door but never let me know. Offered us a whopping $3.00 off but no way to offer the 16 digit code. When I went on chat the guy Austin had no clue. We are done and will check other food delivery services going forward!
I placed an order at 4:30pm. I received a text from grubhub at 6:56pm saying "Something went wrong with my order"? When I called the Grubhub customer service number the employee told me my food will arrive by 7:20pm? I was so upset and hungry, I canceled my order and asked for a refund immediately. The Grubhub's employee said it'll take 3 to 5 business days. In other words I paid $53 for their mistake and wouldn't receive my money back until next week. HORRIBLE SERVICE! This was such an inconvenience! I WILL NEVER order from there again!
So, I use delivery services once a week, maybe once every other week. I've used Doordash many times, and Uber Eats. Grubhub is far and away the worst service out of all the choices.
On TWO separate occasions, probably 3 months apart, they delayed my order delivery an hour and a half or more. That would be bad enough, but the order gets sent directly to the restaurant first, so even if the driver picks it up and completes the order, the food will be very cold and stale.
This is beyond unacceptable for a delivery business. It is unforgiveable. I will never again use GH for anything, I'm done with them.

Ordered from a local Thai restaurant. Got notification food was picked up and then nothing. We finally walked down the street and found our food two houses down on someone else's porch. Called GrubHub and they said thanks for calling but we can't give you a refund or credit. I won't be using them again.

Due to mix up in the system my food showed up on the wrong day. They were graceful enough to cancel and issue a refund. You have proved to me(and hopefully others reading this) that you resolve issues when they arise. It's easy to be nice when things are going according to plan, but how you handle problems sets the bar.
Today was my third order and I will go through you each time, guaranteed.
FYI Eight homeless people in North Dallas enjoyed the meals that were incorrectly sent.

Ridiculously unreliable and overpriced. Often will just wait an hour or more and spontaneous cancel orders - will keep the money for several days, just not deliver any food. Can rack up delivery fees of seven or eight dollars with no driver gratuity. Customer service is a joke - it's a crappy call center that doesn't have native English speakers. Makes DoorDash seem like Herman Miller in terms of customer service. Total garbage.
App says "Hand the food to me." Drivers dump at gate. Never ring bell. Food gets cold. Refunds not processed. Customer service promises action - nothing. Bank statements and gift cards never credited with refunds. Don't tip a driver until AFTER you get the order. Despite generous tips up front, drivers leave food outside.
